ERASMUS+ PROJECT FOR WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNITY IMPACT
Supporting women from rural, remote and underrepresented communities in Romania and Bulgaria to turn experience, ideas and local knowledge into meaningful community action.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
WomenOfImpact is an Erasmus+ partnership between Romania and Bulgaria supporting women from rural, remote and marginalized communities through leadership development, emotional intelligence, civic participation and practical community action.
The project does not stop with training. Participants are supported in developing and implementing their own local initiatives, turning learning into visible action in their communities.
The project moves from listening and co-creation, through learning and development, to real community action.

December 2025 – June 2026
Workshops, focus groups, surveys and roundtables with women, educators and local stakeholders helped shape the competence framework and the training programme.

July – December 2026
Women in Romania and Bulgaria take part in a practical six-week programme combining local meetings, online learning, reflection and work on their own community ideas.

January – May 2027
Participants refine their ideas, and selected women-led initiatives receive mentoring and practical support for implementation in rural and remote communities.
WomenOfImpact connects learning, leadership and practical community action in Bulgaria and Romania.
WomenOfImpact focuses especially on women from rural, remote and underrepresented communities in Bulgaria and Romania.
It brings together women of different ages and backgrounds, recognising the experience, knowledge and relationships they already carry — and supporting them to participate more actively in community life.
Women living beyond the major urban centres and facing geographical barriers to learning and participation.
Young, adult and senior women learning alongside one another and bringing different perspectives.
Women who have had limited access to leadership development, networks or civic participation.
TRAINING PROGRAMME
A shared training programme supporting women’s leadership, confidence and community engagement in Bulgaria and Romania.
Available in English, Bulgarian and Romanian.
